For those of us who loved Physics in school, we will recall that x-rays are part of what’s known as the electromagnetic radiation spectrum. Visible light, which is what allows us to see the world around us, is part of that spectrum too. But unlike visible light, our eyes did not evolve to detect x-rays. But that doesn’t mean they are not there!
Since Marie Curie explored these radiations in the early 1900s to the present day, x-rays have eventually come to be very useful in the medical field to help generate images of bones and other tissues that make up the human body which has in turn helped in the diagnoses of various medical and surgical conditions. Medical x-rays have allowed us to be like Superman.
At MegaCare Specialized Polyclinic and Diagnostic Centre, we employ the state-of-the-art X-ray technology operated by a team that includes qualified radiographers and a consultant radiologist. From plain x-rays to specialized x-rays, our radiographers employ these imaging technologies as they work with our medical doctors and specialists to make the most accurate diagnoses so that our patients can receive the best possible care of management.
